Hightower Signs Taxpayer Protection Pledge

Bill Hightower, conservative Republican candidate for Congress in Alabama's first congressional district, signed Americans for Tax Reform's Taxpayer Protection Pledge.

By signing the ATR pledge, Bill Hightower commits that he will oppose efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and business.

Hightower also commits to opposing a net reduction or elimination of tax deductions and credits, which effectively raises your taxes, unless they are matched dollar-for-dollar by further reducing tax rates.

"Washington does not have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem," Bill Hightower said. "South Alabama voters are sending more than enough of our hard-earned money to Washington, DC and I am committed to fighting for my community's taxpayers each and every day in Congress. My commitment begins now, by signing this ATR pledge."
